Lined,   by Frank Vollbrecht, Buettgen, 2003, Alienation of photos by patch elements The following pictures show different types of alienation with some photos from the picture catalog. Some photos were taken from Time Tales.

 
 
 

jongmeisje	After starting the sequence shown on left hand side is built up. Black stripes are applied on the white canvas showing the figure of the original picture. The whole sequence will be permanently repeated. It will be modified when leaving the picture with the mouse or if you click the picture.
jongmeisje portret	After leaving the mouse from the picture the original picture will slowly be slotted in. (examples in the upper row). The relation of black stripes and the slotted in photo depends on  the moment of leaving the picture with the mouse (examples in the lower row). The slot in sequence will be repated until entering the picture with the mouse.
Allee bei Kaarst	After a mouse click the black stripes will be inverted into white stripes. At the same time the original photo will be slowly slotted in. At the end of this sequence white areas are filled with parts of the original photo.
